During the Conference on Dialogue of Asia Civilizations (CDAC), which is being held in Beijing from May 15 to 22, performers from Guizhou's Miao and Dong ethnic groups brought traditional dance and songs to the Asia Civilization Parade.

The Grand Song of the Dong ethnic group from Liping county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, is listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage due to its unique performance form.

It requires no conductor or musical accompaniment and can be performed by hundreds of thousands of people.

The wooden drum dance from Fanpai village, Taijiang county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture is a traditional performance of the Miao people and also a China Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Wu Lanxiang, a 19-year-old performer of the Guizhou delegation, felt excited to perform on behalf of Guizhou and transmit the essence of Guizhou's ethnic culture.

The parade will last from May 16 to 22 every day at 10 am and 4 pm at Beijing Olympics Forest Park. Visitors can make an appointment in advance to enjoy the show.
