Guizhou NPC deputy interviewed at annual session of China's national legislature

At the opening day of the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) on March 5, NPC deputy Jiang Tao from Southwest China's Guizhou province was interviewed by domestic and international media outlets at the deputies' passage.

Jiang is the sixth Guizhou NPC deputy to be interviewed at the deputies' passage.

He is head of the welding team at Guizhou Aerospace Tianma Electromechanical Technology Co. For the past 35 years, he has been working in the military industry and contributing to the development of the company and of society as a whole.

He established a national skilled master workshop and a model worker innovation workshop which have so far trained more than 300 skilled welders.

When Jiang started working at the company in 1987, he was devoted to being a skilled welder and trained for six to seven hours every day. After seven months of training, he obtained a welding certification that usually takes two years to acquire.

In September 2015, the Long March 6 rocket sent 20 satellites into space with the launching system welded by Jiang and his team.

As an NPC deputy, Jiang will continue to train more skilled talent and contribute to the country's development.
