Sansui county in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is famous for bamboo planting. Locals have been making bamboo woven products such as baskets and bamboo cages for generations.

After years of working outside Sansui, Yang Dujuan returned to her hometown in 2014 and established a bamboo weaving company to preserve the weaving techniques and develop more bamboo weaving products.

Her company currently makes more than 100 varieties of customized bamboo weaving products and has 10 utility model patents, one appearance design patent and one software copyright.

Yang strives to endow her bamboo weaving products with more fashionable and ethnic features, and has won various titles for her contributions to rural vitalization.

Her company also provides free training at relocation sites for impoverished residents and has helped 52 local residents increase their incomes.
