Guizhou's first top-of-the-line camping base opens to public

CREC Hongyan Xigu Camping Base in Huaxi district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially opened during Huaxi's winter tourism promotion event held on Jan 8, becoming the first of its kind in the province.

The camping base covers a total area of 6.67 hectares and is 1.5 hours away from Guiyang's downtown area.

Here, tourists can experience outdoor sports, delicious food, family fun, beautiful scenery and rural markets. The camping base is equipped with camping areas, hotels, markets, theaters, service centers, parking lots and toilets, and can serve more than 300 tourists at a time.

At the opening ceremony of the camping base, the camping base organized band performances, games of Frisbee, badminton, football and tea cooking activities, attracting many tourists.

Over the next two months, Huaxi will launch 95 activities involving tourism, folk culture, sports, music and recreation to showcase its winter tourist attractions.
