Guizhou's major projects for Q1 start construction

The launching ceremony for major projects of the first quarter of this year in Southwest China's Guizhou province was held on Feb 1. At the ceremony, 687 projects with a total investment of 376.77 billion yuan ($55.87 billion) announced the start of construction.

The projects take industrial investment as a priority, focus on industrial infrastructures, promote integrated development, and aim to improve the urban environment.

This quarter, Guizhou will see 62 tourism projects with a total investment of 29.06 billion yuan, 95 modern agricultural projects with a total investment of 29.28 billion yuan, 88 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 31.27 billion yuan, 157 new urbanization projects with a total investment of 75.69 billion yuan, and 35 education and healthcare projects with a total investment of 10.59 billion yuan.
