By the end of October 2013, Guiyang has offered development support to 10,000 micro-enterprises.

In 2013 alone, Guiyang has supported 5,000 micro-enterprises to create 256,720 jobs. Its investment fund has reached 503.3 million yuan ($82.53 million), reported the Guiyang industrial and commercial bureau.

The "600,000 yuan" campaign is a supportive policy for micro-enterprises. If an investor provides 100,000 yuan in investment, the government will provide 100,000 yuan in allowance, 200,000 yuan in cash and 200,000 yuan in bank loans to support a business.

The campaign provides major support for processing and manufacturing, technological innovation, creative design, software engineering, neighborhood services, national arts and crafts, and food production. It is an effective policy that will reduce employment pressure and promote Guiyang's economic development.

So far, 1,441 returned migrant workers, 2,109 secondary school technical graduates, and 2,400 unemployed and disabled people have started businesses.
