With the brand "Colorful Guizhou" sweeping the world, Guizhou's ethnic handicrafts have received more and more attention in recent years. However, Guizhou is still struggling to bring its ethnic handicrafts onto the world stage.

In order to help the industry, the China (Guizhou) International Ethnic & Culture Artware Expo and 2013 Colorful Guizhou Tourism Handicrafts Original & Craftsman Exhibition will both be held from November 15 to 17 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, an organizer announced on Tuesday.

With more than 1,000 enterprises from home and abroad, as well as more than 300 craftspeople and designers from more than 60 countries and regions, the expo is expected to heat up the industry in Guizhou.

Long Chaoya, deputy director of the Guizhou Economic and Information Commission, will present four halls for the expo, including the International Hall, Guizhou Exhibition Hall, Sales Exhibition Hall and Final Hall. Meanwhile, the expo will also hold multiple forums for both foreign and domestic companies to seek out cooperation and trade opportunities, Long added.
