More than 1,000 employers are providing more than 10,000 jobs during the second Professionals' Convention, Guizhou, which kicked off in Guiyang on March 28. It is a significant event that attracts trained people and provides jobs.

Now, Guizhou is developing rapidly in the areas of manufacturing, information, tourism and modern agriculture, so that trained employees are fundamental for Guizhou's growth.

Shao Gingshan, the chairman of Ameuro SciTech Alliance said during the convention that good projects need suitable industries associated with them.

"Overseas professional recruitment is just starting. How to retain them is the key," said Jem Wang, Vice-Chairman of Guizhou Association (Singapore).

Marco Verza is a senior metallurgist of AVIC Guizhou Anda Aviation Forging Co Ltd and he is keen to find professionals at the convention.

"The market in Guizhou is growing very fast, especially compared to those in western countries now. So we need more top professionals," he said.

Now, five foreigners in the agency and two foreign experts are working for Anda Guizhou.

"I also saw some foreigners from the USA, Russia and Italy in Guiyang. It means it is likely they know the city and have evaluated the possibility of working and living here," he added.
