Wineries and hot springs are two major elements that Xifeng county of Guiyang city, Guizhou province, is using to develop its leisure industry to attract people at home and abroad.

Other than special advantages in hot springs and wine, Xifeng is located between Guiyang and Zunyi. The regional advantage has made it a core area of Guiyang Zhongguancun Science Park.

Zhong said that to develop the real economy, Xifeng county needs to strengthen its advantageous industries and form competitive industries through technology.

As the traditional coal and phosphorus chemical industry has always been a leading industry supporting Xifeng's economic development, its transformation must rely on technology, according to Zhong."Based on the advantage of the chemical industry, Xifeng county strives to develop a fine coal and phosphorus chemical industry to raise the industry proportion of high-tech and modern manufacturing and extend the industrial chain," she added.

With the opportunity of collaboration with Beijing Zhongguancun Science Park, Sinochem KailLin fertilizer company in Xifeng has cooperated with Bejing Fudekang Group to undertake the project of improving saline-alkali soil with phosphogypsum.

At present, the production of phosphogypsum in Xifeng has amounted to 6 million tons. Once the phosphogypsum can be successfully used to improve the saline-alkali soil, it will be helpful to develop the local circular economy by producing high-quality crops.

When wine and hot springs combine with technology and the information industry, Xifeng will show its powerful vitality.
