Guiyang North Railway Station, whose major structure was completed on Tuesday, will become the first high-speed rail station in Southwest China.

Guiyang North Railway Station, a super-huge railway station in West China, will begin operations by the end of this year after the operation system is examined and accepted in August.

The new station is entering its decoration stage after being capped with 1,900 tons of steel.

The ecologically friendly station adopts various new technologies and materials to be "green".

Natural ventilation and a reasonable lighting system are guaranteed in construction, and 41 elevators will be set to satisfy passengers.

The new station, occupying 255,000 square meters of construction areas, will become a transportation junction to connect Chengdu, Chongqing and Guangzhou.
