"The biggest impression Guizhou province left with me is that it is the most serene place I have visited," Piojo Larry Monserate, a photographer from the Philippines who works for Digital Photographer magazine said.

During a five-day activity entitled "Guizhou in the eyes of the Asian Media", Larry visited many ethnic villages in Qiandongnan autonomous prefecture; and the Lang De Gu Shang Zhai village that is located in Leishan county impressed him the most.

"I was able to see these Miao people on TV before, but now I can see their real lives and this gave me quite a shock. I just would really like to stay in the village for a month to live with them so that I could get to know their culture better," he said.
