The annual Conference on the Development of the Guizhou Tourism Industry has been an important impetus for the rapid development of Guizhou's tourism industry.

The ninth conference will be held on June 21 in Guiyang this year. Under its powerful force, the Guiyang tourism industry will be upgraded and developed in a comprehensive way.

The conference this year will mainly work on the construction of the "1+12" model, including the construction of 12 key tourist attractions: Qingyan Ancient Town in Huaxi, which is also the main venue for the conference; the Creative Tourism Complex of Colorful Guizhou; the Future Ark City Tourism Complex; the Taoyuan River Tourism Region in Xiuwen town; Penglai Fairyland – Leisure Agriculture Tourism Region; Nanjiang International Ecotourism Complex in Kaiyang town; Guizhou Time Wetland Park; Xifeng Hot Spring Scenic Spot; Yuewan International Tourism Complex; Yangming Cultural Park; Demonstration Zone of Beautiful Villages in the lower reaches of the Nanming River; and the Tianhe Lake Scenic Spot.

Qingyan Ancient Town, as the main venue for the ninth conference, will invest a total of 4.95 billion yuan ($796.1 million) in constructing 48 projects, including: the cultural center, F3 race circuit, road reconstruction of the slow-traffic system from the South Gate to the West Gate, construction of the Tourism Integrated Service Zone of North Gate in Qinyan, the landscape and ecological parking lot project of the north entrance, and the ecological parking lot for self-driving travel in Limu Mountain in Qingyan.

After the upgrade and reconstruction, the Qingyan scenic spot will be expanded from 0.8 km to 5.8 km, covering many scenic spots, namely Qingyan Ancient Town, Tai Hing Temple, Fort Qingyan, Yudai River, Ancient Courier Route and Guanyin Blessing Temple, as well as natural villages such as Yaojiaguan and Xiaoxichong.

The Creative Tourism Complex of Colorful Guizhou, one of the 12 important tourist projects, will work on the construction of certain projects, including an exhibition center, 1958 Cultural Creativity Park, the Park of Camphor Tree, and the road from Youzha Street to Xiaobi.

As key rural tourism regions around Guiyang, Quancheng Wuyun Village Tourist Resort in Wudang district has built two high-quality hotels in Duzhai, Xinbao village. The Leisure Agriculture Experiencing Park of Wisdom Travel will build the visitor reception center, country food court, farming experiencing park and swimming pool with an estimated investment of 15 million yuan.
