Zhao Kezhi, secretary of the Guizhou Provincial CPC Committee, and Chen Min'er, governor of Guizhou, met with Guo Kongfeng, chairman of Wilmar International, on the afternoon of July 22 in Guiyang during the 2014 Overseas Entrepreneur Guiyang Conference.
During the meeting, Zhao said: "Wilmar International is a leading company in the grain and oil industry in the world. Guizhou is a major agricultural province with a friendly climate, rich biological resources and good environment. We are rich in tea, walnuts, cactus pears, grapes, medicine, pitaya and kiwi."
Zhao expressed the hope that this opportunity will allow the Wilmar International delegation to tour Guizhou province to learn about Guizhou's specialty in the agricultural industry, including processing, logistics and storage on a deeper level. Zhao also introduced the services and preferential policies that Guizhou can offer for companies investing or settling here.
Guo was impressed by the current status of Guizhou. According to Guo: "Guizhou has so many natural advantages, such as environment and climate, especially agricultural advantages that are attractive. I have positive opinions on Guizhou's development and look forward to investing in Guizhou and seeking more cooperative opportunities here."
