Recently, the Guiyang customs administration implemented the Measures on Deepening Reform and Supporting Foreign Trade Development.

According to the measures, there are 26 methods applied to support foreign trade, including supporting the construction of the Guiyang Comprehensive Free Trade Area, Gui'an New Area, more customs branches, E-ports and a national E-business demonstration city.

Based on statistics from the Guiyang customs administration, the gross value of exports and imports in Guizhou province in the first half of 2014 was 23.32 billion yuan ($3.77 billion), a year-on-year increase of 43.1 percent, which ranks third among all provinces in China.
