According to the Guiyang Commerce Bureau, Guiyang's import and export value for the first half of 2014 reached $3.034 billion, an increase of 47.92 percent over last year, setting a new record for Guiyang city, Guizhou City Daily Reported.

Guiyang's throughput value ranks first among nine cities in Guizhou and ranks sixth among the 10 major capital cities in western China. The top five are Chengdu, Xi'an, Kunming, Urumqi and Lanzhou.

According to data published by the Guiyang commerce bureau, ASEAN is Guiyang's largest trading partner , with the import-export volume between the two parties reaching $1.11 billion，representing a year-on-year growth of 65.48 percent.

With emerging markets, the import-export volume from Guiyang to Nigeria, New Zealand and Brazil reached $132.41 million, an increase of 179.5 percent.
