According to the information released during the press conference of the ninth Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference, the ninth conference will open on August 15 in Qingyan Ancient Town, Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province.

Taking this opportunity, Guizhou province will announce 24 new tourism spots and projects, providing various choices for tourists.

As the conference's major venue, Qingyan Ancient Town has invested 4.95 billion yuan ($80.31 million) to upgrade as many as 48 projects, including the cultural center, the F3 racing track, the comprehensive service zone, parking lots and lodges. The scenic area of Qingyan Ancient Town has been expanded from 0.8 square kilometers to 4.8 square kilometers.

Also, the highlight of the conference this year is intelligent tourism, namely applying cloud and big data technology to the tourism management of Qingyan Ancient Town and the Huangguoshu scenic area.

Together with the conference, the Guizhou Outdoor Equipment Exhibition, Guiyang International Beer Festival, Guizhou tourism products exhibition and Colorful Guizhou-International Photo Exhibition will be held at the same time.

Many cultural figures will join this conference as well, including famous Chinese writers Feng Jicai and Yu Dan, famous actor Tang Guoqiang and famous TV presenter Wu Xiaoli.
