Guiyang's smart city system to run in September

Guiyang's smart city information system has completed its R&D stage and entered its testing phase, according to Guiyang's commerce bureau.

The system, which is expected to be on stream at the end of September,is based on delivery vehicles across the whole of Guiyang city and the sharing of information on logistics, manufacturing and trade.

 There are a total of 250 dual-fuel delivery vehicles in Guiyang at the moment, and the city has grouped them together into a team run by 15 logistics companies. Moving and table-ware disinfection companies have also been incorporated into the delivery system.

A total of 7.69 million yuan ($ 1.25 million) has been paid out to support the development of the Internet of Things, and visualization and rapid goods sorting technology, and 15 relevant projects have been given priority.

The city will continue to absorb more scattered social vehicles into the delivery system and increase the number of vehicles to 500 by the end of next year, said an official from the commerce department.
