The Ministry of Civil Affairs and National Development and Reform Commission recently confirmed that Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, would be one of the pilot places among 42 cities in China to carry out national pension service reform.
According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the pilot project aims to promote those cites to establish a sound elderly care service system with all-round functions, covering both urban and rural areas, which could be a demonstration for the country's pension service development.
The major tasks of the project involve improving the pension service system with support from social groups and government, innovating the supply mode of the pension service and strengthening its market supervision.
