Guiyang's call center industry conference opens in Shanghai

Chen Gang, secretary of the Guiyang CPC Committee, held a call center industry conference on the evening of October 13 during his visit to Shanghai. He stressed that the conference shall strengthen cooperation between the China Call Center and the BPO Industrial Association to develop Guiyang's call center industry.

Based on the blueprint, in three to five years, the call center business in Guiyang will reach a capacity of 300,000 agents, and employees in this industry will reach 700,000.

Currently, a total of 4.6 billion yuan ($750.9 million) has been put into the development of the call center industry in Guiyang. The achievements so far include the Guiyang Call Center Industrial Demonstration Park and Guiyun Data Service Center.

Chen said that the development of the call center industry can drive the economy of Guiyang. The local government shall make it a priority. Looking back, the cooperation with the China Call Center and the BPO Industrial Association is a very good trial. In the future, Guiyang shall continue to make efforts in seeking cooperation, investment attraction and "going-out."
