Guizhou sees progress in county development

According to a research report on the development of China's small and medium cities conducted by the small and medium cities development commission of the China Society of Economics, Huairen city and Pan county of Guizhou province have made the Top 100 Chinese Counties list. Nanming, Yunyan and Guanshan Lake district of Guiyang city, Guizhou province, have made the list of China's Top 100 Districts.

The result is based on indexes of economic development, social improvement, environment, government efficiency, GDP, fiscal revenue, per capita disposable income and population.
Huairen and Pan county are ranked 86 and 88, respectively, in the Top 100 Chinese Counties list. Yunyan, Nanming and Guanshan district are ranked 53, 61 and 96, respectively, in the Top 100 Districts list.

The results show Guizhou province's achievement in developing regional economy and improving local living quality. and the achievement cannot be made without the strategy on paying attention to industrial development, infrastructure construction, people's livelihood system, social governance and reform and innovation.

According to statistics released by the Guizhou provincial government, in the first half of 2014, the top 31 counties in Guizhou province realized a total GDP of 276.86 billion yuan ($45.25 billion), with industrial added value reaching 111.78 billion yuan and fixed asset investment reaching 371.74 billion yuan.
