K11 to open in Guiyang

K11, the world's first art mall integrating the elements of art, people and nature with the aim to match New York City's SoHo, has decided to open 12 branch malls in China in five years. One of its locations is Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province.

The K11 project is being developed by New World Development and the name K11 is given by the New World Development Executive Director Cheng Chi-Kong.
K11's preliminary site decision in Guiyang is Jinyang New district. It plans to cover an area of 220 hectares, with a total gross floor area of 3.8 million square meters.
It will be a large cultural and life community integrated with living facilities, trade and entertainment after completion.
The first K11 shopping mall opened in Hong Kong in December 2009. After that, K11 Shanghai opened in 2013.
Chen Jianhao, general manager of operations of the K11 shopping malls, said, "We will build 12 more K11 shopping centers in 11 cities nationwide, including Guangzhou, Beijing, Wuhan, Ningbo and Guiyang."
