The city of Guiyang, Guizhou province, held a conference, on Nov 6, concerning product safety work, Guiyang Daily has reported, where the city announced its need for 74 product safety experts covering various industries.

It is forming a new product safety group with a “Safety first, Prevention foremost” approach and a strategy of using modern technology to guarantee product safety.

The newly group will be responsible accidents, emergencies, and rescue work and accident assessment and investigation, while providing technical support for product safety.

In commenting on the effort, Gao Weidong, a deputy mayor, said, “I hope the experts we employ can improve training and understand Guiyang’s emphasis in product safety work to contribute to the city.”
