By then, Guiyang Longdongbao Airport will be rated as a 4F airport.

After the completion of the two runways, it can realize take off and landing of two aircrafts at the same time, which will increase peak-time operation capacity, enhance operation efficiency and relieve traffic pressure.

Currently, Guiyang Longdongbao Airport has a 4E rating, with the capacity to take off and land all types of aircrafts, except the Airbus A380.

Also, Guiyang Airport currently has only one runway, which cannot handle increasing throughput capacity.

The circumstances cry out for the construction of another runway.

According to official statistics, by October 2014, passenger throughput had reached 10 million, and by November 12, a total of 98,800 flights have taken off and landed in Guiyang Longdongbao Airport, a year-on-year increase of 19.87 percent.
