A financial cooperative promotion conference was jointly held by the Shanghai Pudong New Area government and Gui'an New Area administration committee in Guiyang, Guizhou province, on December 2 to discuss the opportunities and prospects of the two areas.

Through the opportunity, the conference aims to innovate new patterns of financial cooperation concerning project investment and financing between East and West China, and to build West China's financial harbor.

During the conference, a memorandum on financial cooperation between Pudong New Area and Gui’an New Area was signed, and a number of consensuses on financial talent training and exchange, information communication and sharing were under discussion.

Hundreds of financial institutes from the two areas attended the conference, and they look forward to expanding their business and services to West China..

"Pudong and Gui'an will deepen its cooperation in the near future on financial institute cross-region development, the financial information sharing platform and financial market development," said Chen Hu, assistant director from the Pudong New Area financial service authority.
