On December 13, the National Quality and Technical Supervision Department approved the Guiyang National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone's application to build the National Electronic Components Demonstration Zone.

The Guiyang National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone started the application in 2013. After one year of preparation, the application received approval. It will be the first National Electronic Basic Components Demonstration Zone in China.
