The Guizhou electronic port, located in Southwest China's Guizhou province and under the charge of the Guizhou Provincial Port Administration Office, is in operation following the launch ceremony held on December 31.
The Guizhou electronic port, which is part of China e-port, will gradually extend its services from customs clearance and law enforcement to logistics and commerce to provide companies an efficient comprehensive government platform.
The information from units of commerce, customs, inspection and quarantine, national tax and foreign currency exchange will be shared on a platform that is built on the basis of cloud computing, Internet of things and big data.
"With the operation of the Guizhou electronic port, a variety of technical data from relevant units will be collected to the e-port platform to deal with tremendous logistics and customs declarations, which will not only hugely boost the development of export and import companies in Guizhou but also provide better service for them," said Xie Dejian, an official from Guiyang customs.
It is reported that Guizhou's foreign trade is developing rapidly, which results in a $100 million value of export and import in 2014.
In compliance with the plan, the Guizhou electronic port will possess its own features as an efficient platform in 2017 and deepen regional cooperation on e-port and information sharing.
