According to a report published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision Inspection and Quarantine on January 19, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport has been approved as a designated point of entry for imported planting seeds.
Guiyang Longdongbao Airport is qualified and fully equipped for on-spot examination and quarantine treatment.
China has 47 qualified ports of entries for imported planting seeds so far, ranging across 17 provinces and municipalities of China. The 47 ports play major roles in securing biological safety, preventing invasive species and reducing the potential risks of imported seeds.
After the approval, more quality seeds will be imported to Guizhou. At the same time, the approval will greatly shorten the imported seed quarantine period and sharply reduce the costs of imports.
