The application of the national Miao medicine research center received approval according to the local government in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou, on March 17.

The research center, which will settle in Yunyan district, Guiyang, aims to enhance the research and technological capability of ethnic Miao medicine and boost the industrial development of biopharmaceuticals characterized with Miao medicine and authentic medicine ingredients.

The research center will be constructed by Guizhou Yibai Pharmaceutical Co, Guiyang Medical University as well as Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The center, as a platform, fills the gap in the engineering technical research platform of national pharmaceutical development.

It also lays a solid foundation for the research and development of Guizhou's biotechnology and plays a crucial role in the transformation of the national pharmaceutical industry.
