Beijing art area opening exhibition center in Guiyang

Beijing's 798 Art District recently put an exhibition center in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou province, the deputy director of the 798 Administration told a press conference, on June 3, explaining that it covers a 1,183-square-meter area in the city’s Yunyan district and will handle art shows, promotions, cultural exchange and sales.

Zhang guohua went on to explain that a "798 Impression-Guiyang Station" exhibit will open in the center, on June 12, with more than 50 modern Chinese art works on display.

Duan Pei, head of the district's publicity department, noted, "Our cooperation with 798 is an important move for Guiyang in its image work and I believe the area will develop into an influential cultural and creativity base in southern China."
