New areas seek green development opportunity

The declaration says that the construction of ecological civilization is a permanent task which requires joint efforts. The economic new areas, as the new frontier of nation's development, have to consider green development as their core competitiveness.
It is important to stick to the principles of development and ecology, promoting industrialization, urbanization, agricultural modernization and tourism industrialization under the principles of ecological civilization, said Wang Jiangping, vice-governor of Guizhou.
Counselor of the State Council Qiu Baoxing believes that the new areas should set good examples on green ecology and have sense of mission on building scenic cities.
Ma Changqing, Director of Gui'an New Area Administration Committee said that green and sustainable development is the value goal of all new areas and next step for us is to join hands to seek green development together.
Green development is a major agenda of the Eco Forum Global Annual Conference held in Guiyang, southwest China's Guizhou province between June 26 and 28. In the forum, government officials of 12 State-level new areas has gathered to discuss strategies and practices on green development.
