SW China provincial secretary meets with former Australian PM

Australia's Kevin Rudd, a former PM, who took part in an Eco Global Forum in the city of Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, met with the provincial Party secretary, Zhao Kezhi and governor, Chen Min'er, on June 28.
Zhao and Chen welcomed Rudd on behalf of the provincial government, with Zhao saying that Guizhou considers solving both the subsistence problem and environmental problems very important and is trying its best to increase the influence of the annual forum.
He also welcomed any suggestions from Rudd on ecological civilization and economic development in Guizhou.
Rudd replied by wishing the Eco Global Forum the very best and China the best in its ecological civilization and said that he was impressed by the scenery and ethnic culture, and quite confident in the future development of Guizhou. He went on to say he would be pleased to offer any advice and suggestions and believes the Forum will surly become a major site for promoting ecological civilization.
Rudd was prime minister from 2007 to 2010 and again in 2013.
