Guizhou province says that it plans to hold a conference on crowd-funding in its capital city, Guiyang, in late October, and expects nearly 10,000 enterprises to take part in the show and its at-least 2-dozen forums with dozens of crowd-funding finance product deals expected to be made.
The announcement comes from the Crowd-funding Finance Association, China's first association of its kind, with headquarter in Guiyang.
Crowd-funding is recently developed method of getting funding for a project or venture through money extracted from a large number of people, typically via the Internet.
Although it is in a remote area, Guiyang has already hosted many expos and summits related to big data and finance and is doing its best to build a crowd-funding finance system of its own for exchanges, as well as a business college and institute. It is also looking to establish crowd-funding banks, security companies and trusts to develop a new strategic finance pattern as was proposed by Premier Li Keqiang.
