Guizhou looking for economic cooperation with Taiwan

Guizhou province held a meeting for trade talks with Taiwan, Aug 16 - 19, in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou, with a theme of economic cooperation and co-development that attracted more than 300 business tycoons and enterprise and organization representatives.
The event included four conferences to promote emerging industries in Guizhou, resulting in 13 cooperation agreements being reached on big data, pharmaceuticals, mountain agriculture and cultural tourism.
Taiwan and Guizhou have seen their cooperation grow in recent years, so that 137 Taiwan enterprises were registered in Guizhou in 2014, with contracts worth $1.59 billion. And, as exchange grow, so does the number of tourists from Taiwan visiting Guizhou for sightseeing.
