The Economist Intelligence Unit, a business unit providing forecasting and advisory services, has identified the top emerging cities on the Chinese mainland based on measures such as population, income, infrastructure and economic activities. According to the latest EIU ranking, which aims to identify fast-growing cities, most of the top 20 cities are from China's central and western provinces. Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, topped the list as a leading "big data" center, followed by Xiangyang and Hengyang in Central China. Read more about the list on our website.
