African reporters comment on the beauty of Guizhou

A group of more than 10 reporters from Africa got their first taste of southern China's Guizhou province and its culture and scenery during a visit Sept 18 - 19, when they saw Guiyang, the provincial capital, and the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong prefecture to get a look at the agriculture there.

The group members, mostly from Egypt, Kenya, Zambia and South Africa, showed an interest in companies that produce crafts with Guizhou characteristics and some night scenes at the Xijiang Miao ethnic village, in Qiandongnan, where a Sudanese reporter said, "It's so beautiful."

Yang A'ni, the head of the A'ni Embroidery Co, explained Miao embroidery to the visitors, "This gorgeous embroidery is all handmade by the Miao craftswomen. As you can see each piece is stylish and differs from the others," then added that there is an incentive for developing embroidery to promote ethnic culture.

Another Kenyan journalist exclaimed, "I adore your culture inheritance and protection, which is worth learning by other people."
In the agriculture demonstration zone, the combination of ecological agriculture and tourism and sightseeing interested the journalists and, according to one chief editor from a Zambian daily newspaper, "The new mode of management is brilliant", and he said he expects more cooperation opportunities with China.
