Qianlingshan Zoo to open on National Day

Qianlingshan Zoo will finish undergoing reconstruction work and open to the public free of charge on Oct 1, according to the Qianlingshan Park administrative office.

According to a staff member from Qianlingshan Zoo, the newly constructed park will be divided into seven areas including a reptile area and primate area. More than 400 animals from 70 species will live in the zoo.

"The newly constructed zoo will present visitors a new sightseeing experience," said the staff member from Qianlingshan Zoo.

Official statistics reveal that the reconstruction project of the zoo has covered a total area of 36,000-square-meters with a total investment of 52 million yuan ($ 7.80 million).
