"Most of our learning materials and our major books are composed by these scholars and I'm so happy to sit with them and listen to their reports. I have been busy taking notes during the lecture," said a Chongqing college student who took a train to Guizhou for the event.
Zhou Xiaohong, a professor in the sociology department of Nanjing University, said that the event is of significance and Guizhou is a place bearing multiple ethnic groups, providing unique features to conduct sociology research.
He also expressed his confidence in the settlement of the workshop and the research center in Guiyang, which will provide more opportunities for sociologists to learn about Guizhou and promote cultural development in the province.
