Southwest China's Guizhou province signed a cooperation framework agreement with Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals Holdings on March 18, in an effort to accelerate and promote the sustainable development of the province's "fruit of fruits," the Rosa roxburghii Tratt industry.

Rosa roxburghii Tratt is a kind of chestnut rose, or a thorny plant. It usually grows in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and is widely made into healthy foods due to it containing high amounts of Vitamin C and other nutrients.

Representatives from both parties attended the signing ceremony, including Guizhou Governor Shen Yiqin, and Li Chuyuan, chairman of Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals.

According to the agreement, both parties will take advantage of Guizhou's resources and the company's brand influence, technology, management, and talent to expand and strengthen the development of the thorny plant.

During the meeting, Li said that his company will expand its cooperation with Guizhou in the health and medical industries, in an effort to develop additional and better products, helping with the province's poverty alleviation efforts.
