All the communication departments in Guizhou will accelerate the application of 5G, in an effort to grasp every opportunity to develop the province into a national 5G demonstration area, according to a meeting hosted by the Guizhou Institute of Communication in Guiyang on March 22.

With representatives from large national 5G operators, station constructors, and equipment suppliers in attendance, the meeting featured numerous discussions on the application of 5G technology.

In recent years, the institute has made several achievements in communication technology exploration and practice, academic exchanges, as well as membership services. It has explored ways to fully take advantage of its connection between the government and various communication departments.

The institute plans to take Guizhou's development efforts in poverty relief, big data, and ecological environment protection to have more technological exchanges with related departments, in an effort to improve its technological influence.
