The 24th "Elites gathering in Guiyang", a job fair featuring private on-site interviews, took place in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province, on June 30 with a focus on the middle and high-end manufacturing industry.

Fifteen enterprises were hiring for 102 positions, including electronic engineers, mechanical engineers, program engineers, mechanical designers, numerical control programmers and managers. More than 120 people participated in the fair, in which nine signed employment agreements and another 54 reached intention of employment agreements with companies on the day.

For their privacy and convenience, jobseekers could take a preliminary interview and reexamination in an independent room with interviewers after registration. Yao Changqing, a director of Guizhou Xingqian Hongzhi Talent Market Co Ltd, said, "Having private on-site interviews is a trend at Guiyang's job fairs since it provides a platform for both the jobseeker and interviewer to have an effective face-to-face talk about their individual capability, job requirements, and salary. This process helps to find talents a proper position."

"I am looking for a dream job at this fair. It is delightful to see many proper positions here," said Wang Xiaomei, a jobseeker who obtained her Masters degree in engineering this year. "The job fair is great. It creates opportunities to communicate with various companies directly and some of the positions are offering salary meeting my demand."
