Annual plenary of Guiyang Municipal People's Congress opens

The third plenary of the 15th Guiyang Municipal People's Congress opened in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 8.
The plenary will review and approve the execution condition of Guiyang's 2022 national economic and social development plan, the report of Guiyang's 2023 national economic and social development draft plan, and Guiyang's 2023 national economic and social development draft plan.
It will review and approve the execution condition of Guiyang's 2022 municipal financial budget, the report of Guiyang's 2023 municipal financial budget draft, and Guiyang's 2023 municipal financial budget.
It will also listen to and discuss the work reports of the Standing Committee of Guiyang Municipal People's Congress, Guiyang Intermediate People's Court, and Guiyang Municipal People's Procuratorate.
In 2022, Guiyang's GDP reached 492.12 billion yuan ($72.58 billion), an increase of 2 percent and 0.8 percentage points higher than the provincial average.
Guiyang's primary, secondary and tertiary industries increased by 4 percent, 3.7 percent and 0.9 percent year-on-year, respectively; and the general public budget revenue increased by 1.8 percent year-on-year calculated with the same caliber.
This year, Guiyang will continue to prevent and resolve risks, and promote the overall improvement of the economy in order to achieve economic development in terms of both quality and quantity.
