During the May Day holiday, which will last from April 29 to May 3 this year, major railway stations in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, are expected to serve 669,000 passengers (an average of 84,000 passengers per day), a year-on-year increase of 43 percent.
Guiyang North Railway Station is expected to send 491,000 passengers, Guiyang East Station is expected to send 92,000 passengers, and Guiyang Station is expected to send 86,000 passengers. The highest single-day passenger flow is expected to occur on April 29.

This year's May Day holiday is the first long vacation after the Spring Festival, and there is strong demand for travel. Guiyang's railway stations have prepared to strengthen transportation capacity and passenger services.
In order to cope with high traffic during the holiday, Guiyang's railway stations will increase the operation frequency of high-speed trains and night trains.
In terms of service, railway stations will add ticket sales, refund and change windows and provide passengers with services such as shopping guides, communication, consultation, and assistance. Additionally, the railway stations will set up emergency passenger channels and convenient transfer channels to improve the passenger travel experience.
