Guiyang Archives in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, passed the test that will allow it to apply to become a national demonstration digital archive. The test was conducted by experts of the National Archives Administration from April 26 to 27.

Guiyang Archives became the eighth provincial capital archive in China to pass the test and the first in Guizhou.

The expert group conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Guiyang Archives' digital archive, focusing on five aspects: infrastructure, system function, archival resources, security system, and service performance, looking at over 90 items in total.

The expert group praised the construction of the digital archive system as standardized, with reasonable technologies and an advanced overall level.

They also spoke highly of Guiyang Archives for relying on the development advantages of big data throughout the province and using information technology to promote basic business and management capabilities, and offered suggestions for further improving system functions, enhancing electronic archives management capabilities, and expanding digital archive system applications.

In recent years, Guiyang Archives has strengthened hardware and software infrastructure and basic business construction in accordance with the standards required for national digital archives construction.

In July 2022, Guiyang Archives joined the national archives query and utilization service platform, becoming one of the first archives across China to gain access to the platform.
