With the arrival of summer vacation, summer tourism in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, continues to rise. From July 1 to 25, the number of tourist orders in Guizhou province increased by 65 percent year-on-year, while Guiyang's tourist orders increased by 70 percent year-on-year, according to Ctrip, an online travel platform.

The China Tourism Academy recently released the "National Summer Tourism Development Report," which mentioned popular summer destinations. Among them, three are in Guizhou, namely Guiyang, Liupanshui, and Anshun.

Since July, the overall number of tourist orders in the three cities has increased by 70 percent, 50 percent, and 81 percent year-on-year, respectively, while the number of summer vacation products orders has also shown explosive growth, with Guiyang's summer vacation product orders increasing 15-fold year-on-year.

With the influx of a large number of tourists, car rentals in Guizhou have increased by 101 percent year-on-year since July, while hotel orders in Guiyang have increased by 31 percent year-on-year.

Tourists visiting Guizhou mainly come from southern regions where the demand for summer vacations is strong, such as Chongqing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Guangzhou. Among out-of-town visitors, families with children account for over 30 percent.
