Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province and Xicheng district in Beijing on Sept 14 signed a cooperation agreement to deepen friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

According to the agreement, both parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as education, healthcare, finance, tourism, big data, and talent exchanges.

As the core functional area of Beijing, Xicheng district has a longstanding friendship with Guiyang.

It is hoped that both parties can focus on areas such as big data, finance, tourism, education, healthcare, and the cultivation of talent, and carry out a new round of deeper, multi-field, and high-level pragmatic cooperation, making greater contributions to promoting Chinese-style modernization.

In particular, Guiyang has explored a range of good practices and racked up considerable experience in the digital economy, all of which Xicheng can study and emulate.

Both parties can deepen their practical cooperation, strengthen mutual learning, actively plan for collaborative projects, and jointly promote the accelerated and high-quality development of both regions.
