Guiyang gets transportation boost during May Day holiday

During the eight-day railway passenger transportation period for the May Day holiday, major railway stations in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, served a total of 1.52 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 11.3 percent.
Data shows that Guiyangbei Railway Station served 850,000 passengers, Guiyangdong Railway Station served 152,000 passengers, and Guiyang Railway Station served 372,000 passengers.

To cope with high traffic during the holiday, a total of 390 additional trains and 706 coupled trains were made available. Railway stations developed large passenger flow organization plans in advance and arranged for staff members and volunteers to offer convenient on-site services.
Meanwhile, during the five-day May Day holiday on May 1-5, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport served 322,100 passengers and saw 2,264 take-offs and landings, increasing 10.34 percent and 8.17 percent, respectively, compared with the May Day holiday in 2023.
