A roadside concert titled "Shake Hands with the World", a year-long activity held as part of the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 24.

The roadside concert aims to deepen practical cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two regions and attract more and more young people from ASEAN countries to experience China.

During the event, students from 12 universities and colleges in Guizhou and international students from 34 countries and regions such as Pakistan, Madagascar, Nigeria, Laos, Indonesia, and Mongolia performed various music styles at the 600-year-old Wenchang Pavilion, showcasing a fusion of Chinese and foreign music.

Various music genres such as folk, pop, rap, and rock energized the audience, while Chinese folk dance, Latin dance, African dance, Madagascar dance and Russian dance took turns on stage.
