The industrial output value above designated size of Guiyang Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City in Southwest China's Guizhou province reached 2.11 billion yuan ($316.7 million) in the first five months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 83 percent, while the industrial added value amounted to 390 million yuan, a 77 percent year-on-year increase.

Over 1,000 enterprises operated in the area during the period, with big data companies accounting for 66.54 percent of the total.

Focusing on the digital economy, the innovation city is vigorously developing electronic information manufacturing and software and information technology services, while also emphasizing the headquarters economy, software service industry, and new business models. Currently, the innovation city is home to 42 Huawei Cloud partner companies.

To accelerate the growth of industrial output value, increase the scale of industrial added value above designated size, and attract more enterprises, the Guiyang Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City will focus on becoming a hub of industry, policy, talent, innovation, and capital, providing stronger support for the region's industrial development.
