Guiyang sees National Day travel rush

During the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, 43 key A-level tourist attractions in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 2.55 million visits, a 20.33 percent year-on-year increase.

The top 10 most visited sites were Qianlingshan Park, Huaxi National Wetland Park, Qingyan Ancient Town, Colorful Guizhou City Tourism Complex, Tianhetan Scenic Area, Jiaxiu Tower, Hebin Park, Time Town, Quanhu Park and Guizhou Wildlife Park.

Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area launched over 200 events in music and performing arts, culture, scenic spots, rural tours, and sports tourism during the holiday, offering visitors diverse entertainment and showcasing the unique charm of "Cool Guiyang".

The three major railway stations in Guiyang transported 1.20 million passengers over seven days, averaging 172,000 daily, setting new records for total and daily passengers compared to previous years.

On Oct 7, Guiyang's railways witnessed peak return passenger flow. A total of 167,000 passengers were sent from Guiyangbei Railway Station, Guangdong Railway Station, and Guiyang Railway Station, with 117,000, 18,000, and 32,000 passengers, respectively.
