Guiyang's National Day holiday tourism economy flourishes

According to a report released by China's online travel agency Ctrip, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranked among the top 50 inbound travel destinations during the National Day holiday.
During the holiday, tourism orders in Guiyang increased by 22 percent year-on-year, ticket orders by 57 percent, outbound travel orders by 26 percent, and inbound travel orders by 174 percent.
Guiyang attracted tourists from major domestic cities such as Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Guangzhou. Leading countries for inbound tourism to Guiyang included Singapore, South Korea, Japan, the US, Malaysia, France, Australia, the UK, Thailand, and Germany.
During the seven-day holiday, Guizhou's total tourism consumption reached 30.19 billion yuan ($4.27 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7.59 percent. There were 56.1 million consumer visits, up 4.51 percent. Guiyang's consumption amounted to 10.64 billion yuan, ranking first in the province.
